Banking - Traditional or Digital

Would you prefer to use traditional banks which have branches and in-person customer service or would you prefer to use a digital bank? I use Revolut as well as two traditional banks in New Zealand but I would be happy if they both went digital as I’ve only ever had to go into one of the branches once.

I think each have their own pros and cons.

I prefer traditional because realistically most banks are very similar with their products. It really depends on if you want good face-to-face customer service. If you don’t care, go digital/online. They have better savings rates. If you do care, find a banker that you like and enjoy talking to, and stick with whatever platform they work for.

I’ve used digital for years.

But lately, businesses charge a fee to use your credit card. So, I’ve been taking out cash to avoid those fees.

If I find a business that won’t accept cash but still takes a fee for a card, then I just won’t use that business, aside from online ones.
