Do you think forums are dead?

Or are they dying?

If yes, why do you think this?

If no, why not?

Compared to the past? Yes. But comparison is not always a wise thing.

Reddit, Discord, and other similar outlets took a lot of the activity that forums used to have.

Most forums you go to these days that are actually active have a small handful of active contributors, and many passer-byes.

They say there is more bot traffic on the internet than human traffic these days, so The Dead Internet Theory may be legitimate.

Forums are mostly a thing of the past at this time, but as long as you have a handful of loyal followers, you can create a “community”.

No, just more niche and fewer in number.

Not dying.

Just social media has made everything regarding engagement more immediate and so the mindset has evolved to mirror it.

I don’t think forums are dead or dying.

I just think there are cultural shifts going on.

New generations are into apps and social media.

Older generations are into forums and older platforms.

Once the older generations are gone, we’ll see where forums will be or we won’t see it because we won’t be here.
